Blessed Sebastian of Aparicio lived a humble and chaste life in Mexico in the 16th century. There was no job he could not do and no person he would not help. After accumulating a significant amount of wealth as a road builder, Blessed Sebastian gave away his possessions and entered religious life as a Franciscan at the age of seventy. Upon his death in 1600, many miracles were credited to him, and he was beatified by Pope Pius VI in 1789.
Your children will learn many lessons, including hard work and humility, through this story of Blessed Sebastian and his oxen.

Blessed Sebastian and the Oxen
These are wonderful books for children. They tell the lives of the saints in a short & simple way. Martyrs deaths are described but it is muted. The pictures are great. The only complaint I have is the pictures are out of order. For example, a picture that should be on page 10 will be on page 14. It wasn’t a problem for me as an adult but it’ll be annoying when I read it to my niece & nephew.

Excellent
These books are fantastic for readers. In a world filled with so many reading choices, it is wonderful to have material to choose from that is beautiful and morally sound. What gets better than the saints? Perfect for all homes, I use these in my homeschool as well.
