Assists lectio divina greatly
This guide is all I had hoped it would be. A guide with readings and St Augustine’s Thurs too guide one’s meditation on what God is saying to me in the reading of John.

Presents St. Augustine in a way that’s easy to understand
The reflections from St. Augustine are presented in a way that make his insights relevant to the reader. His insights “lift” the reader’s mind to consider new aspects of the life of our Lord. And the Lectio Divina and journal format help in applying the insights personally.

Lectio Divina with the Spiritual Masters the Gospel of John with St. Augustine
This is the book on Lectio Divina I have been waiting for. It makes meditation on scripture so much easier and organized. It takes the planning aspect out so you can just read and meditate. And you can’t go wrong with St. Augustine’s commentary!
