Let us follow our dear Lord Jesus as he travels the Way of the Cross. He is asking us to follow him. Are you afraid? Jesus himself was afraid to walk this painful journey, but out of love for us, he did so. So for love of him, we follow.

This fully illustrated version of the traditional Stations of the Cross contains new meditations by children's author Regina Doman (Angel in the Waters) along with:

  • Scripture verses that point to each station
  • traditional prayers attributed to St. Francis of Assisi and St. Alphonsus Liguori
  • lyrics to the traditional hymn “Stabat Mater” ("At the Cross Her Station Keeping") in both Latin and English
  • a feature that gives historical and scriptural lessons concerning the tradition of walking the Way of the Cross
  • and a final prayer that ties the stations to Eucharistic Adoration throughout the liturgical year

Detailed pictures compliment the text and allow the reader to follow Christ and His Mother as they make their way through the streets of Jerusalem on the way to Calvary.

This stations was very well done! Anything Alphonsus Ligouri is worth having and this is no exception. This would be a great gift for Christmas or Easter. I am planning to give copies to my kids and my godchildren for the start of lent.

Its a great resource for diving deeper into church history and world history. The Stations of the Cross are more than enough but it has so many added treasures. I cant say enough about this excellent book.

I bought this book because Im a big fan of Chris Lewis illustrations but the little details all around the image really got a lot of interesting discussions going with my very small children. Definitely a unique and worthwhile book to stoke interest and learning in the Stations.

Beautiful faith resource for all ages!

I am a fan of the artist who illustrated this book. He includes such detail and depth in his work. I had initially wanted one for myself, but, seeing the beauty of the art and the depth of information and layout of the prayers, I ended up ordering 5 copies so that I could share with family and use one as a resource in my classroom with my 7th graders. They loved identifying the different figures and making connections with the prefigurations they studied when I taught them about the Eucharist. Great for all ages!

    An effective devotional booklet

Posted by Christina O. on Mar 11th 2022

We and our kids like using these to pray Stations during Lent, and the historical or exegetical background notes for each Station enhance our appreciation of the devotion. The illustrations are also very effective, and the kids like trying to find the roosters. We did spot a few typos here and there, though, and in one place an internet URL is printed over a portion of a drawing. Hopefully in future printings all of those will be corrected.
