Excellent
Agnes Penny is such a strong writer. All three of her books are excellent. These are books with content; they are not fluffy or sentimental, but derive from a strong, Catholic, authentically formed heart. Penny eschews the current vogue of confessional-style writing ("I was doing so poorly, then I had a revelation, now things are so much better") in favor of a topic by topic instructional approach. (I don't mind either style. Just saying what to expect.) Again, though definitely encouraging in tone, her writing is serious, hearty, and very helpful for mothers looking for guidance.
