The Acts of the Apostles is the first history of the Church, and as such, merits a study as careful as it is well-researched. Luke’s motive in writing this book was very simple: to defend and teach the new faith in a beautiful work of apologetics.
Steve Ray and Fr. Patrick Winslow are your guides on this 1,000+ verse journey into the hearts and minds of the early Christians. Harmonizing history, theology, and eternal truth, St. Luke’s witness is a stirring invitation to follow the one he followed—the one who brought death to its knees.
In 28 comprehensive lessons, you will learn:
- How the Apostles’ message of repentance is just as vital for us today
- Why the Church was able to survive brutal, constant persecutions
- How we can be filled with the same Holy Spirit that inspired Peter, Paul, and all the early Christians
The Acts of the Apostles are the acts of those with hearts on fire. We are called to the same fearless love, no matter what challenges or persecutions come our way.
Let Steve Ray and Fr. Winslow unpack this story of hope for you, and let your heart beat with the same fervor that inspired the first Christians.

Insightful and inspiring study
This past year was my third time presenting this study to my parish group in the 20+ years I have been leading Bible study. I keep going back to this study because it is so well written and presented. This year my participants were more enthusiastic than ever about the study, and even though there are 28 lessons spread out over several months, very few dropped out. Steve Ray has a very concise and readable style of writing, with some profound insights. Fr. Winslow has a wonderful sense of humor and is what I call a "fan favorite"; everyone loves his videos and looks forward to them every week. He consistently pulls out a little nugget of wisdom from each chapter and presents it in such a way, with great insight, that we all marvel at how profound his insights are on things we didn't even realize were hidden in the scripture. This study is suitable for beginning or advanced students. I had several in my group this year who were new to Bible study, and they did not feel "lost" at all as new students sometimes do. I highly recommend this study.
