Saint Alphonsus Liguori (1696-1787) recognized the need for the Gospel in rural areas of Italy, traveling for twenty-six years to preach missions. In 1732, he founded the Redemptorist congregation to carry on this work. His writings continue to strengthen the weak and correct the wayward soul, calling all to conversion and life in the fullness of God’s grace. Adopt St. Alphonsus as your guide in the interior life and let your soul be purified under his direction. Now, with these five beautiful, clothbound, gold-foiled volumes, it is our hope that they will offer spiritual direction and consolation to a new generation of Catholics and encourage greater love of God. This deluxe set includes five books from the masterworks of the Doctor of Moral Theology:
- The Incarnation, Birth, and Infancy of Jesus Christ
- The Passion and Death of Jesus Christ
- Preparation for Death
- The Glories of Mary
- The Holy Eucharist

Great books
This book collection is aesthetically beautiful, with a font that’s easy to read. I also appreciate the thoughtful selection of books in the set. They not only look stunning but also feel wonderful to handle and read. Highly recommended—great work, TAN!

Beautiful
My new favorite set of books. Beautiful binding. Nice font and print size. Using the volume on the Incarnation and Birth of Jesus right away for Advent reading.

I have not purchased this series but will be
I have "waited" for a press company to print a good copy of glories of Mary. The paper back offered by tan currently is not very good the binding is cracked and broken. This new hard copy looks beautiful. I cannot wait to purchase this! I have gotten the catechism of the council of Trent from tan and that hard back is very good. So I imagine this one will be as well!

St. Alphonsus Liguori
This book series is the best compilation of St. Alphonsus Liguori’s writings and teachings. What a treasure! The hardcover is definitely a plus and looks beautiful in my library. A must have!

Beautiful
I've been impressed with the improvements you've made in the quality of your books in recent years. I was very pleased with the edition of The Catechism Explained that you published recently. And this edition of the writings of St. Alphonsus has all of the virtues of that publication: attractive hardcovers, good quality paper, nice endpapers, ribbon markers, and most importantly, I think, sewn bindings. I hope you will continue to invest in producing books whose printing and binding are worthy of their contents. In fact, it would be very welcome if you were to revisit some of your older titles (like the Catechism of the Council of Trent) and bring them up to the standard you've set with more recent releases.
