    So fun.

I have read some of Thigpen’s theological works. and loved them. This is the second of his children’s books I have read. And it is wonderful. It was truly a blessing to read this book. When this one arrived my youngest daughter, we were both excited about it. She read it to me right after we unpacked it. She has read it to me twice more. She struggled her first time through with the calligraphy. She has been working on learning cursive at her nana’s and now she wants her aunt to teach her calligraphy. She absolutely loved this book. With three children, a much younger brother and many nieces and nephews I have read dozens and dozens of A B C Books. And this is b far my favorite. And my 10-year-old daughter agrees. She read it twice to me the day it arrived. And asked if we could give it to a friend who as a toddler. Paul has done an amazing job with the verse. It is a wonderful A B C book and retelling of the nativity story. My daughter came back at bedtime and asked if she could read it to me yet again. It truly is a wonderful book. The calligraphy is stunning. The illustrations beautiful. The tall narrow format makes each page feel like exploring stained glass. The illustrations are beautiful. This is an excellent book to give as a gift. For the home, school or church library. We highly recommend it.

    A Very Unique Alphabet Book

My children love alphabet books. This one is most unique and both beautifully written and illustrated. We love Folley;s illustrations and Thigpen;s poetry which are so lovingly paired. We have enjoyed this for years and look forward to enjoying it for years to come.

Rich text and even more rich illustrations

Very unique book! There is so much symbolism in the images that they tell their own story in addition to enhancing the text.
