Printing error
Love the DRB, this is a beautiful version of it, my only complaint is the formatting on the first page of 1 Timothy is different than the rest of the book.

Holy Bible (Douay-Rheims)
This large print edition is absolutely beautiful and so easily read. The red highlighted areas of Our Lords words makes following His teachings more accessible. In my humble opinion the ONLY Bible worth reading is the Douay-Rheims, which is the faithful translation into English of the Latin Vulgate Bible which St. Jerome translated into Latin from the various languages (242-420 AD).

Douay-Rheims
I could not be more pleased with this Scripture. The only disappointment is that the gold lettering comes off too easily and quickly. It looks cheap now. I will find a solution at the craft store Gold Isle.

Douay-Rheims Holy Bible
I love my new bible, I appreciate the large print and the red-font letters when Christ speaks. It makes it easier to follow. The whole bible is so beautifully adorned with the gold tipped pages, the color pictures at the end, the prayers outlined in the back, and the maps. I love, love, love it!

A good Bible that could be better
This is a good Bible. I really love the size, the font size and style, and the paper. It's very easy to read and a pleasure to hold in the hands. That being said, it didn't take long for the gold lettering on the front and spine to rub off (although this isn't a big deal for me). I think the leatherflex cover doesn't allow for it to sink in as it would with other materials. Also, I wish this Bible had Old Testament maps in the back instead of pictures (this is a bigger deal for me). Old Testament maps are very helpful and would make this good Bible even better. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.

The Holy Bible
The print is a good size overall, and really my only complaint is that the way I hold it the gold comes off the title.

Douay-Rheims Bible Large Print Edition
I want to thank Tan Books for publishing this edition of the Large Print Douay-Rheims Bible. It is an outstanding edition, and the print is larger and easier to read than the regular sized edition. The high quality production is most welcome, with the sturdy cover, tight binding, and an ease of use for "lap reading". In other words, the Bible is not so large that it has to lie on a desk to be read. The print is very good and clear, the red lettering is great, easily read. The actual translation is my favorite, though I read the others also. I am one of those converts who grew up on the KJV, whose language I love. With the Douay-Reheims translation, I get the quality of the KJV, but much better because it has all the books needed for the Catholic Bible. Highly recommended, and it will be a joy for anyone to read, after all, it is the full Word of God.
