The Best Way to Introduce the Word of God
When I joined the US Army, I was given a New Testament with Psalms and Proverbs and that little tome guided me to a faith that has endured 20 years of service, 2 deployments to Iraq, and 1 to Afghanistan. Before then, I was never able to get past Genesis. This is the most lovely version of that book I have found, with very helpful inserts for any man alive. I highly recommend this as a gift to young men going to the service or out into the world. I also highly recommend this to any young man you are hoping to introduce to the faithful.

Give them away to the men in your life
I bought one of these and loved it. Carried it around, read it, and treasured the quality leather bound book. I loved the commentaries as well. I gave mine away to my nephew, as he needed it more than me. I would encourage all Catholic men to find another man in your life that could use spiritual guidance, and give him this book. If you were to give some cheap, paperback copy they would likely discard it, or throw it in a drawer. They will treasure this book and the word of God, and hopefully pass it on to another man in their life.

Book of Wisdom?
Full disclaimer, I don't own this. It looks great. and I plan on buying but I am surprised the book of Wisdom didn't make the cut. Maybe in the second edition?

Just purchased this. It was a super bargain at $10.00. I have pros and cons. Pros, the print size is great. I also like the fact that it is RSV/CE, instead of the RSV/CE2. I prefer the formal language in the psalms. It seems more dignified when addressing God. Cons, first I wish it was a red-letter edition. I have complete bible from this publisher, and it is red letter and I really love it. My biggest complaint are the various inserts. They are ae great, but wish they were printed on the same type of paper as the rest of the volume. By using such heavy paper, it makes the book very stiff and difficult to keep open. Certainly, can'tlay it flat. Having said that, at $10.00 it is a real value.

Great Gift Idea
Beautifully bound, compact yet easy to read Gods Holy Word makes a great gift, I bought one for my brother and he really likes it. My elderly Dad liked it too as he could read the larger typeface in this handy New Testament and Psalms. Would also make a good travel size NT to carry with oneself. There are various reflections inserted in between books of the Bible for those striving to be a good man in the example of Saint Joseph, and that along with the masculine cover is what makes this edition more ideal for men yet Gods Holy Word contained within is for everyone.
