My Meditations on Saint Paul
As a long time student of his letters, this little book made them all come alive for me. Fr. Sullivan puts all of the missions and helpers of Paul in a series of meditations about the emotions which Paul must have been feeling at the time. I can't think of another book which takes this approach and executes it with so much verve, scholarship and literary skill. God chose the most virulent persecutor of His church to become the Apostle to the Gentiles. God certainly knows what He is about!
