“Read this booklet slowly and with attention, not once but many times, and you will thank God all the rest of your life.” (Page xi)

Do you know how powerful the Holy Name of Jesus is?

With this booklet in hand, you will be able to pray “without ceasing,” as you learn to see the great gifts that God bestows on those who glorify the name of His Son.

In this booklet, Fr. Paul O’Sullivan explains Jesus’s Name is much more powerful than most Catholics would ever guess. He demonstrates how easily frequent repetition of the name of Jesus can:

  • Glorify God
  • Call on His aid
  • Pay spiritual debts
  • Assist souls in Purgatory
  • Obtain many graces
  • Protect us from the devil
  • Help us die a happy death
  • And much more!

God is always offering His grace to us, and making use the most holy Name of His Son is a traditional and remarkable way to open yourself up to His many gifts. Habitually praying the Name of Jesus, Fr. O’Sullivan explains, is the least-known secret to a happy and holy life.

Perfect for:

  • Parish missions or retreats focused on deepening prayer life

  • Personal devotion during Adoration or before the Blessed Sacrament

  • Handouts for adult catechesis or OCIA sessions on prayer and spiritual warfare

  • Encouraging intercessory prayer for souls in Purgatory

  • Equipping the faithful with spiritual tools for everyday holiness and peace

“For which cause God also hath exalted him, and hath given him a name which is above all names: That in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those that are in heaven, on earth, and under the earth.”

THE WONDERS OF THE HOLY NAME

Posted by Mary on May 24th 2023

I wanted to honor my mom;s death. Had only $25 . Saw on TV Protestants tell about their experiences of the power of the name of JESUS. Wondered why never heard about it the Catholic Church.. Found the booklet on a free table at a meeting. Read it, decided I;d donate 5 to our local shrine. When I got to the end..for $25 POSTAGE I could get 500 booklets.!!!! Because someone had donated booklets if a person paid postage. God blessed me so was able to donate 1000 booklets. Our shrine has 100,000+ visitors from whole world in a year. Being homebound I was able to honor my mom n evangelize at the same time. Thrills me whenever I remember from 5 to 1000 PRAISE THE LORD;S GENEROSITY!!!

    Invaluable book!

Posted by CATHY L. on Dec 19th 2022

I wish every Catholic could/would read this book! I bought a bunch of these books to give to family and friends and have had a number of positive responses from people. This book explains why and how we can live the words from Philippians: "God greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." These are beautiful words and yet, what do they mean and how do we live them? That is explained here! I love this book and have read it over and over again!!!

Lift Jesus higher Exalt His Holy Name

Posted by Tony B. on Apr 27th 2022

I notice that the generic title "God" is too much substituted for the mighty name of Jesus Christ Lord and King of all creation.
