Meet Your Professor

Fr. Alfred McBride, O. Praem., was one of the most respected Catholic educators of the twentieth century. Ordained in 1953 as a member of the Norbertine Order, he earned a doctorate in religious education from The Catholic University of America and spent decades forming Catholics through teaching, writing, and catechetical leadership.

Throughout his distinguished career, he served as professor, novice master, university president, and founder of the Department of Religious Education at the National Catholic Educational Association. He authored more than forty books and over two hundred articles, helping generations of Catholics better understand Sacred Scripture and the teachings of the Church.
