It feels soft yet durable, and is THICK. I has a ton of pages ( 50 or more not sure) from the actual Manual for spiritual Warfare , and has several breathtaking pieces of art as well. Even if you dont own the smaller manual this gives you the main points of that book but in big print and on glossy paper. It is the revised stand version of the bible but with many tips that honestly may save your soul. The print is large and black. Easy to read. Jesus words are in red. It is a joy to read. Its bold and heavy. When I hold it , it feels powerful. I love the little extrs touches such as 3 ribbons for page marking, and really nice sparkly silver on the edges of the pages. Gives it a look of steel. Honestly , you cant go wrong with this edition. Once upon a time I had shelves full of them. And my wife insisted I stop buying more. But this year I got two new bibles. And I could not be more thankful. I received this one and the New Testament and Psalms for Men. Both are from Saint Benedict Press. And both are excellent resources. I picked this up to be a new bible on bedside table. This is a beautiful bible. And a very important resource. This volume combines the RSV-CE with excerpts from The Manual For Spiritual Warfare by Paul Thigpen.\r\n\r\nOver the last 40 years I have owned many bibles. Catholic bibles, evangelical bibles, mainline Christianity bibles. This is one of my favorite bible ever. The bible text is normal thin bible pages. And the inserts are full color on glossy pages. Some of the sections have between one and three topics. The specific inserts are:\r\n\r\nScriptures for the Battle\r\nKnow Your Enemy \r\nKnow Your Battle\r\nKnow Your Commander and Comrades\r\nKnow Your Armor\r\nKeep the Enemy Out of the Camp\r\nThe Our Father is a Battle Cry\r\nKnow Your Weapons\r\nChurch Teaching About Spiritual Warfare\r\nConfronting the Devil’s Power\r\nWords From the Saints About Spiritual Warfare\r\nSpiritual Warfare in the Lives of the Saints\r\nPrayers for Battle\r\nSpiritual Warfare Topical Index of Scripture\r\n\r\nThis is an excellent reading bible. The margins are narrow but the line spacings are ample. You can easily underline or write notes in this bible if that is what you do. The bible also has 3 built in bookmarks. If you are following the bible in a year plan with three sections a day it works perfect. \r\n\r\nI believe that if you only add 1 more bible to your collection you cannot go wrong by picking this one.
