Dictated to Venerable Mary of Agreda (1602–1665) by the Blessed Mother herself, The Mystical City of God is an amazing collection of four books of revelations about the life of Our Lady and the divine plan for creation and the salvation of souls that has been enthralling readers for centuries.
 
Sr. Mary of Agreda was a Franciscan abbess and spiritual writer from Spain.  She was a noted mystic and prolific writer who authored many books. Reports of her bilocation between Spain and the US (New Mexico and Texas) have been retold for centuries and inspired generations of Franciscan missionaries in the New World.  

This book is composed of four volumes that summarize the life of Our Lady: the Conception, Incarnation, Transfixion, and Coronation. This magnificent narrative takes the reader through the various stages of the life of the Blessed Mother while revealing all sorts of interesting facts about salvation history.

This set includes beautiful hardcover binding with elegant gold-foil details. The interior is reproduced at 100% of the size in the original book and is printed from the original negatives for complete fidelity.

    Books are very nice. I thought they would come bound together to look nicer for a gift, but that;s okay. They;re perfect, as far as I know.

    I just started reading and very interesting and will help me to meditate while I pray the Holy Rosary and the life of Our Blessed Lord and Our Blessed Mother. I always wanted to have this set and finally It's in my hand. I love the blue hardcover and they are beautiful. I love them.:innocent:

    I ordered the hardback set of City of God. I haven't a chance yet to start reading them, but they look so nice on my desk. I plan on starting them as my Advent devotional reading.

    Superb edition, excellent condition, quickly received. I long to compare Saint Maria de Agreda;s revelations to those of Blessed Catherine Emmerich, which I am reading right now. I find all those insights into the lives and thoughts of Jesus, the Virgin Mary and many others not only fascinating, but very helpful to my spiritual life.

    I bought these books in 1990. Mine are very wore out from time and weather. I'm retired and I'm still learning from these books. How wonderful God and Our Holy Mother are. They never cease to reveal different secrets in these writings. God is Awesome.

    Ave Maria! This is one of, if not THE greatest set of books on the Life of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The books relate the entire life of the Blessed Virgin and I highly recommend this set to anyone who is looking to know more about the life and Our Lady and gain confidence in Her Motherly care and intercession. She is truly the most powerful advocate we have with God besides Jesus in His Sacred Humanity (which is God's Humanity).
